Not that I have anything better to do then go through old photos, but I found this one.  I just love film has so much character, without even trying.  Sure you can add texture and what not in Photoshop, but is it really the same?  Personally, not even close, not even in the same league.  I love the authenticity of film, the edge it gives to something.

I’d love to hear other opinions though.  How about the techie people!?  Nate I know you have a opinion on this.

Sarah and Andy

hugs

Sarah and Andy had a beautiful November wedding at Red Rocks.  You couldn’t have asked for better weather or a sweeter couple.  Sarah called just three weeks ago to photography her wedding.  They decided a bit spur of the moment to tie the knot, but you couldn’t tell.  Everybody was excited to be there and Sarah and Andy had stars in their eyes. Seriously I can’t tell you how cute these two are.  I love that their wedding had none of the big hoop la of a typical wedding, just a couple deeply in love and all their friends and family.

Congrats Sarah and Andy!  And thank you for sharing your day with me!

moody monday

This photo is so moody, it kinda matches how I’m feeling today.  Could be the grey weather or just that it’s monday and I have to work.

How is your monday going?

Lawson Family

The Lawson’s are another FANTASTIC family!  Easy and fun loving!  And how cute is their little one! Total Baby Gap material.  I can’t say enough about how much I love doing family portraits.  It’s so wonderful to see a couple totally in love, not only with each other, but the apple of their eye too!  Annie, Darren you were so fantastic, and just a pleasure to work with!

lack of clarity

November 2, 2008

I find that sometimes it is difficult to see the clarity in life, or an image for that matter.  It sometimes feels like everything is a blur and I can’t seem to focus on anything.   Why is it that we want to be busy when we’re bored and have nothing to do (yea do you remember the last time that happened?) and then when we’re running around struggling to focus on anything we long for nothing but to have nothing to do.

In truth the photo above was actually taken in very low light (no flash) and with a few (who’s counting) glasses of wine in me.  But in the last few weeks I’ve felt like this.  1800 miles in 4 days probably has nothing to do with that.    My wish is that if you feel like this to stop and try to get into the moment, what’s really happening RIGHT now.  I wouldn’t trade this moment for anything, it is prefect, it is life.
